The three main privacy parameters for containers are findability, visibility, and membership. Those parameters allow the admins to be in full control of who can see what content and how users can become members of their container.

Findability: who can find the container in searches and lists

Visibility: who can view the content of the container

Findability is different from visibility in that a container can be found in search yet if the user does not have visibility rights they will only see the title of the container

Membership: how can users become members of the container

Use case examples

findability = public visibility = public membership = open OR on-request

findability = public OR ecosystem so the members of its ecosystem can find it visibility = members only OR ecosystem depending whether they want to share their content with the ecosystem or not membership = invite only OR on request

<aside> <img src="/icons/directional-sign-right_purple.svg" alt="/icons/directional-sign-right_purple.svg" width="40px" /> A sensitive project within the hub of a research organization:

findability = members only OR ecosystem visibility = members only OR ecosystem membership = invite only
