The privacy settings defined by the admins can be found by clicking on the button at the top right of the container page, below the banner.
It will open a modal summarizing all the privacy and member permissions settings. For example:

If the admin of a container invites you, you will receive a request in the “actions” tab at the top of the screen next to the “create” button.
